Our rural society has no shortage of talent. Over generations, communities have been preserving their rich cultures and diverse art and craft, but what limits them, is the lack of platforms to exhibit.

I am glad, Narayana’s Bharat has been one such sincere initiative to bridge the gap and help talent to flourish artistically as well as economically. I’m particularly aware of their commendable initiative in Badrinath region of the Himalayas.

My best wishes to Narayana’s team in all their endeavours.

Narayana’s Bharat is not merely an institution – it is a  mission. It’s mantra is empathy and it’s goal is  empowerment. It is committed to ushering in a renaissance of self-reliance by tapping into the talent of the youth, who are in the periphery, and bringing them into the mainstream of progress and prosperity.

Art is not a handicraft, it is the transmission of feelings the artist has experienced.  I invite y’all to be a catalyst to enable rural and semi-urban youth’s talent in the creative arts, so that they can be financially self-reliant. The way forward would be to develop a sustainable model, in which youngsters of rural villages and small towns can be mentored  to enable them to tap into their creative talents in the artistic fields. I fully support the endeavours of Narayana’s Bharat.

Artists around the country are spending their entire lives looking for alternate jobs to survive.  I see Narayana’s ArtNirbhar Bharat Foundation as a bright ray of hope for every local and regional artist. Narayana’s Bharat has understood the core issue, and they are linking the talents of artists from rural and semi-urban areas with employability skills. They are reaching out to artists in deep interiors and mentoring them, skilling them in the creative fields. Narayana’s Bharat is making big efforts to train local artists, identify talent, nurture artists, and create robust channels for them to monetise their talents and make a respectable living out of them.  Of course, these efforts will act as a great morale booster for these neglected artists and present an opportunity to the world to experience and appreciate the real flavour of Indian art and culture. I wish all the best to such a noble initiative of ever-energetic Richa Khandelwal Bhat.
