Narayana’s ArtNirbhar Bharat Foundation is the catalyst enabling a cultural, artistic, and economic revolution in India’s rural landscape with it’s mission to make India #ArtNirbhar.

Narayana’s ArtNirbhar Bharat Foundation is committed to enabling rural and semi-urban youth with talent in creative arts to be financially self-reliant. We mentor and enable artists to tap into their creative talents and earn from arts like Music, Dance, Theatre, Performing Arts, Creative Photography, Filmmaking, Writing, and Art Entrepreneurship.

Through multiple structured revenue streams like content production, events, merchandise, publication, studio, learning and development, we work to increase income opportunity for artists in rural areas and smaller towns. We aim to create entrepreneurial and artistic success stories, making the Indian youth self reliant, so they do not have to leave their ancestral villages and migrate to cities in search of livelihood.

Backstory

Narayana’s started during a journey to Badrinath, Uttarakhand, where Richa Khandelwal Bhat met singer Vipul Mehta, who plays guitar and sings at the Badrinath Temple. Inspired by the brief jamming session, Richa connected with Vipul over Facebook and through him, with other artists around Badrinath, like Bhumesh Panwar, Shubham Dimri and Anshuman Bhandari among others. Their collaboration led to the formation of a band called Narayana’s, the Himalayan Artsy Crew. Over several travels of the team between Bangalore and Badrinath, a narrative was formed. A purpose, a vision, a mission to enable artists in rural India began taking shape. During COVID times, the need to support our artist friends in Badrinath led to creation of an entrepreneurial venture called Tulsi Mala for Badri. It’s success led to formation of Narayana’s Bharat.
